Testimonials

Julie Mason

“I got serious about my fitness journey later in life.  I am 55 years of age and lost around 50 pounds over the past 2 years and wanted to tone and maintain. The stars aligned and Jon and I met,  and it was a perfect pairing.  He ignited that flame that I had when I was young to be the best version of myself, I could be.

We trained three days a week and eventually added a programed fourth day that I do myself.  It is a process,  and you must trust the process to achieve your goals.  Jon is excellent at helping you do that .

I’ve learned so much about my body, the exercises,  machines, HIIT workouts, strength training, and now power lifting.  Jon knows it all and can help you wherever you might be in your fitness journey.  He knows when to challenge you and when to encourage.

I highly recommend Jon Pritchett for ANY type of fitness goals you might have. Just remember it doesn’t matter your age, your level, or your goals (I am about to do my first Power Lifting Competition………at 55)!  He will get you there and be your BIGGEST cheerleader!”

“I first walked into the new Crunch Fitness in West Cobb aiming to ease back into the swing of working out at a gym (your regular cardio, light weights, and machines). Instead, I met an enthusiastic trainer and booked an appointment to discuss real goals, long-term progress and results, and what I wanted to achieve through training.

Jon changed my approach to fitness by helping me set clear, achievable goals and providing the tools and guidance to reach them. Through proper lifting technique, structured programming, and constant encouragement, he’s helped me build both strength and confidence inside and outside the gym. Most importantly, I am the most consistent I've ever been. Every session is challenging and rewarding, and has led to an overall love of the sport of powerlifting.

I highly recommend Jon because of his genuine passion for personal training and his enthusiasm for helping others achieve their goals in weightlifting, weight loss, and overall health.”

Roshan Nindrai

“I began working with Jonathan at Balrog Strength Systems about a year ago with a straightforward goal: to improve my energy level. From day one he took what I would describe as a truly scientific and professional approach.

We started with light, carefully structured workouts twice a week. Jonathan didn’t just throw me into heavy lifting—he guided me through the mechanics, the progressions, and the form in a way that built confidence and consistency. As we kept at it over the months, the visible changes became clear: I’m stronger, leaner, and I genuinely feel more energetic throughout my day.

Beyond the gym floor, Jonathan is also very well-versed in nutrition and diet planning. He helped me clarify what I was eating, why, and how it supported the training goals. That extra layer of expertise made a big difference in making my results sustainable.

If you’re looking for a trainer who combines deep technical knowledge, professionalism, and a methodical, results-driven program — I highly recommend Jonathan. He’s helped me achieve far more than I thought possible when I first walked in the door.”

How it started..

I’ve spent my life learning the ins and outs of training for a wide variety of high level athletics as both a coach and an athlete.

Growing up I played as many sports as possible. Football, basketball, soccer, you name it I was there. But one thing always slowed me down: injuries. This is what eventually led me to the weightroom and a pursuit of the knowledge of how to take the work ethic I already had built, and aim it in the right direction.

After years of lifting, military training, and then eventually powerlifting, I decided it was time to start giving back with the knowledge I’d gained. I got certified as a personal trainer started training friends and my shipmates in the Navy.

After getting out of the Navy I worked as a personal trainer at Crunch Fitness, where I learned how to help a wide variety of clients. Working with such a diverse clientele allowed me to grow in ways that never would have been possible elsewhere. During my time there I doubled down on my education while getting certified in powerlifting, bodybuilding, and corrective exercise.

Now I work at Roswell Barbell, a proper strength training facility with everything needed to chase and achieve whatever goals my clients have before them.

My own coach, Joseph Lucero, has been an incredible mentor and invaluable resource for me along the way. I wouldn’t be the coach I am today without him.

Years of coaching and lifting all over the world, from Guam to San Diego and then back to Atlanta, has culminated in the creation of Balrog Strength Systems.
